How might Doggy position be explored in depth in a Solo?

Doggy position is a versatile pose offering several opportunities for exploration in depth of a highest Posing Level within a Solo shoot.

Applicable to all highest Posing Level Poses:

This FAQ is about exploring a appealing general pose, it’s not about the Must Have (the OL Bum & face showing HWR, anus visible, wide Must Have has many specific requirements, and should be captured as part of this more-general exploration of the pose).

Specific to Doggy position

ABOVE: The weight and shape of Tahlia J’s breasts as they hang are clearly visible – excellent. The model smiling brightly into the camera at the same time as ‘presenting’ her buttocks, labia and anus to customers gives them permission to look. This image would benefit from the SP being slightly further around, so her right buttock was not partly obscuring the anus. Excluding that, this is a good example of Doggy Position.

Key features of the position

The model is bent forwards at the waist, so her breasts are hanging directly below her. This can be done standing or kneeling. Doggy position primarily helps show the shape and size of a models buttocks but can also be a good position to open up the model’s anus and vulva (for OL or higher) and to explore the swing and size of a model’s breasts.

What customers like about this position

Doggy position is popular to the point of being a fetish for many Customers. It features in two fetish pages – Face down ass up and ‘Ready For Sex’.

Doggy position is a pose that allows customers to imagine that they are about to penetrate the model. 

This position is particularly alluring to customers when the model looks willing. When the posing level allows, direct the model to hold her buttocks open as this opens her labia and anus ready for penetration. For lower posing levels including the model’s eyes and mouth are alternative ways to convey her eagerness to Customers.    

As a sex position, Doggy allows deep penetration, with options for anal or vaginal insertion. Customers can easily imagine what it would feel like to hold the model’s hips and enter her in this position.

While primarily Doggy position is about showing the buttocks and the ‘available’ anus and vulva, secondary features include a solid platform to show the hang, size and shape of a model’s breasts, the flex in her toes if curled beneath her and her hip to waist ratio.

Common errors 

The most common error that SPs make when capturing Doggy position is having dark shadows between the model’s buttocks, across her labia and or anus (when shot at OL or higher). This prevents customers from seeing the detail that they most want to see when a model is bent forwards with no underwear on.

ABOVE: This is a great pose from the model Sophie, but the harsh shadow obscuring details of her anus and the sides of her labia frustrates customers.

Ways to explore Doggy position

1. Model Position

Doggy position is one of the most versatile poses in terms of how much a model can move her body within the position (depending on how flexible she is), while still remaining in the same pose.

Face down ass up

ABOVE: Sophie was directed to push her back down and her buttocks up and out – this really emphasises the curves of her buttocks. The low-down body position maximises the effect that she is presenting herself ready for penetration.

 

ABOVE: The SP walked around Sophie to show how this same position looks from a different angle – this is a good approach when exploring any position in depth.

Curved back

ABOVE: Sophie next curved her back (previously it was pressed down). This is still Doggy position but now the emphasis is on how small and petite she is.

Straight arms

ABOVE: Raising her body from the ground allows the additional details of her breasts and waist to be seen. Excellent!

Extend a leg

ABOVE: Captured mid crawl the extended leg is a new feature that can be explored in addition to the buttocks. In this image the length of Sophie’s leg is clearly shown as are details of her naked feet.

Head down, looking back at the camera

ABOVE: A slight variant to Face down ass up is directing the model to twist so her face is fully turned to the camera while remaining low.

 

ABOVE:  Flexible models will be able to bring some of their shoulder down and under their own body in this position.  This makes EXP and INS easier for the model to do as she will have more arm reach available to her.

Head down with a leg extension

ABOVE: Changes in model body position within highest Posing Level poses does not always need to be big and dramatic – just different. Combining an extended leg with a low down but visible face combines two previously seen variants in one single amalgamation (good).

Low and compact

ABOVE: Ekaterina has her head on the floor but rather than lifting her buttocks up to make her head visible, she has lifted up her arm. This keeps her back flat and her body low.  This position helps to highlight how petite the model is, it is a more submissive variety of Doggy position but still showing her as willing and ‘open’, ready for Customers to penetrate.

Standing

ABOVE: A standing variant presents further opportunities to show and explore a model’s legs and offers variety generally in comparison to the ‘classic’ Doggy position.  Note the detail of Tallulah’s glasses (a fetish and a prop) falling off in this image. This is a great detail as it feels natural, unplanned and is not something you would see in mainstream adult productions.

2. Utilising different levels

Shooting the same pose with the model (and SP) on different levels will help to explore and highlight different aspects of the position. For example shooting from down low helps emphasise long legs and often places customers in the position a lover would be in if they were about to reach up and have sex with the model.

On the floor

ABOVE: Caramel S in Doggy position on the floor. The camera is down very low as well.

Half on the floor half on the next level up

ABOVE: Customers can imagine penetrating the model very easily, a different vibe to the model crawling along the floor earlier.

 

ABOVE: There is room for models to change up their position while remaining split across two levels – in the above image Daisy has pushed herself up from the bed to rest on her elbow and has twisted around to open up her buttocks in EXP, inviting the customer to penetrate her.

Transitioning up onto a higher level

ABOVE: Caramel S’s body looks excellent as she crawls up onto the sofa – the hang of her breasts, curve of her buttocks and strength in her legs are all displayed well. This is a highly “posed” image (and she’s a very experienced model), but to a lay person, it just “looks good”.

On a middle level (sofa, bed etc)

ABOVE: Iskra managing to do Doggy position in a tiny chair. This is a great example of how a single set piece (the chair) can accommodate multiple different poses from a model – many more than the conventional ‘sitting in it’ option. The position is lovely, the shadow across the model’s anus and vulva are not acceptable. 

High up – on the back of chairs or sofas, on window ledges etc

ABOVE: Inga doing Doggy position over the back of the chair. This image shows the model displaying a cat like comfort, model comfort is part of the paradigm. The model’s breasts lightly pressing into the cushion helps reveal details of their size and weight and finally, even though the Posing Level is NDE, the model is presented in a pose where customers could imagine penetrating her from behind. Excellent!

3. Consider the Environment

ABOVE: Caramel S demonstrating that Doggy position can work very well in the bath. This is great tease (anus and labia), but a tease must be paid off  at some point within the exploration of this pose.

 

ABOVE: The positioning of the mirror is excellent (and no accident!) as it means customers can see the details of Sileny’s face as well as her well-lit labia, anus and buttocks.
