Assessment area Pose variety and exploration depth at highest level requires SPs to capture a percentage of the shoot at the model’s highest Posing Level across numerous different poses for Stills and Video. Eight or more unique poses are recommended for the highest Posing Level to ensure enough content is available for the final edit… but which poses should an SP select?
This depends on several factors:
- What the Posing Level is? (Nude, Open Leg, Explicit, Insertions)
- How physically flexible the model is?
- The location – what ‘levels’ are available to assist?
- Any grooming issues that need to be shot around eg tattoos or bruising
Some things can be prepared for in advance but other things – such as unexpected grooming issues or a pleasing discovery that a model is extremely flexible – may not be apparent until the day of the shoot. While all SPs have the creative capacity to improvise and change a shoot plan on the day, having prepared resources on hand will save time and result in better shoots four our customers.
Prepare to succeed
Prepare folders (physical, with print-outs or digital, something kept on a phone / laptop / tablet) with a list of the best poses for different situations that are likely to crop up . This ensures that SPs have a clear starting point to create from and that on occasions where a shoot plan does need to be changed on the morning of the shoot, the SP is not truly starting from scratch.
Fetish Finder is working to create an archive for this purpose, and already has some ready to go.
Recommended situations to cover:
- Best pose ideas for a flexible model
- Best NDE posing level poses
- Best pose ideas for pubic area grooming issues
- Best pose ideas for buttock grooming issues
- Best posing ideas for a model with a back tattoo
- Best poses for models with perfect foot grooming
Having prepared catalogues of available poses means SPs do not need to spend time thinking up the next pose to direct mid-shoot, and ensures SPs can easily offer alternative poses should a model be uncomfortable with anything she is asked to try. This way of working gives SPs the ability to be flexible to models needs without making the shoot day harder for themselves. Happy models and relaxed SPs create the best content!
While it is encouraged that SPs make their own pose idea catalogs, it is likely that FAQs will cover some of these topics over time.
